Privacy.

This notice describes information handled through Stackporch.com, and information reached by Stackporch applications when an authorised user connects a business system such as QuickBooks Online. It does not replace a client data-processing agreement or describe systems operated under a separate client contract.

Information you provideThe Start Here page uses information you enter—such as your name, work email, company, and business situation—to prepare an email in your own email application. The website does not transmit or store that form content. The information is sent only if you review and send the email.
Information collected automaticallyThe site does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. Hosting and network providers may process standard request data, such as IP address, browser information, requested page, and timestamp, to deliver and protect the site.
How inquiry information is usedInformation you send by email is used to respond, evaluate fit, operate the client relationship, protect Stackporch systems, and meet legal obligations. Website inquiry information is not sold.
RetentionInquiry emails and related business records are retained only as needed for the conversation, business operations, legal obligations, and dispute prevention, then removed according to the systems that hold them.
Your choicesTo ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you sent to Stackporch, email josh@stackporch.com. Applicable rights depend on jurisdiction and context.
Connected business systemsStackporch operates applications that connect to third-party business systems, including QuickBooks Online. A connection is created only when an authorised user grants it explicitly through that system’s own consent screen. Stackporch never asks for, receives, or stores the credentials of a connected system — access is by revocable authorisation token only.
What is accessed, and whyOnly what the stated function needs. For QuickBooks Online that is company profile, customers, products and services, income accounts, and invoices, used to create Stackporch’s own billing records and to report on outstanding invoices. Connected data is never sold, brokered, shared for advertising, or used to train third-party models. It is not used to build profiles of individuals.
Where connected data is heldOn systems Stackporch controls. Authorisation tokens are stored with restricted file permissions, are never placed in source control or shared repositories, and are not transmitted to any third party other than the connected system itself. Connected data is not copied into marketing, analytics, or advertising tools.
Disconnecting, and deletionA connection can be revoked at any time from within the connected system — in QuickBooks Online, from the apps or connections screen — or by emailing josh@stackporch.com. On disconnection the authorisation token is destroyed and no further access is possible. Records already created for accounting purposes, such as an issued invoice, are retained as business and tax obligations require. To request deletion of anything else, email josh@stackporch.com.
