Purpose-built applications for work that off-the-shelf products cannot handle. Workflows spread across too many tools. Integrations and reporting that cannot be trusted. Cloud and identity decisions without clear ownership. Existing software that needs a responsible path forward.
why stackporch exists
Features and hours are not business outcomes.
Too much software work is sold around technical novelty. The client discovers later whether employees use it, whether it changed the operation, and whether the ongoing cost was worth it.
Stackporch works from the opposite direction: name the decision, measure the current state, choose the smallest responsible intervention, deliver into client-controlled assets, then measure whether the result held.
a deliberately small practice
Direct attention is part of the product.
I keep a small book of active work by design. Clients work directly with the person reviewing their systems, writing the plan, making the technical decisions, and remaining accountable for the handoff.
When a project requires expertise beyond its responsible scope, I identify that before the commitment rather than pretending one person is every specialist.
